Tuesday is primary election day in Minnesota.
Voters have two main ways to vote Tuesday. If you were mailed an absentee ballot but haven't yet returned it, skip the post office and turn it in by 5 p.m. at the office that sent it. If you vote in person, you have a little more time; polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
State Director of Elections Paul Linnell says you can watch the unofficial results roll in at mnvotes.org.
"In many counties, results are uploaded in batches of precincts after all absentee vote counting is completed,” Linnell said. “It should not be surprising to see results posted for just a small number of precincts in the early hours after the polls close on election night, and then have several precinct results added all at once after absentee counting is finished."
We should know winners by Wednesday morning.
