Tuesday’s primary will winnow candidate fields and set the November ballot. There are competitive races for nominations for governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House and the Legislature.
Polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday and are open until 8 p.m. — or as long as voters are in line by the time polls are supposed to close, they will be allowed to vote.
Minnesota has an open primary, which means voters don’t have to be a strict partisan to participate. But for a ballot to count, only vote in one party’s primaries on a single ballot.
