Hopkins residents are mourning the deaths of a daycare operator and her 7-year-old daughter. And in Burnsville, residents are remembering a 78-year-old woman.
Officials say the three were family, and their killings were acts of domestic violence.
We don't know what led up to this tragedy. But domestic violence is unfortunately common. So far this year, 10 other Minnesotans have been killed by an intimate partner. That's according to Violence Free Minnesota, an organization that has been tracking relationship homicides for more than 30 years.
