Death doulas help support and counsel people approaching the end of life. On Sunday, the Minnesota Death Collaborative hosted a conference in Eagan that drew hundreds.
While younger adults are starting to plan more, many Minnesotans are waiting too late to get their end-of-life plans in order, doula Jane Whitlock told MPR News.
“For me that's heartbreaking because it makes it really stressful and it feels like a crisis when in reality it's not,” Whitlock said, “This was an expected event.”
