Lack of snow has some northern Minnesota businesses struggling
A second consecutive wimpy winter in northern Minnesota is hurting small businesses that rely on snow to drive winter tourism, especially those that cater to snowmobilers.
Snowy Thursday afternoon; brisk northwest winds
Light snow showers continue to track across the state Thursday afternoon, moving from from west to east. Northwest winds continue to strengthen. A second, more powerful system is expected Saturday night into Sunday, bringing another chance for some snow.
Dangerous winds and fires in southern California
Santa Ana winds are gusting at more than 80 mph early Wednesday combined with low relative humidity, creating elevated fire danger. Fires and smoke have spread throughout southern California.
One last chilly day Wednesday with two snow chances ahead
