Isolated thunderstorms now; hottest weekend of summer ahead
It’s a classic summer week in Minnesota. Highs around 80 with a few pop-up afternoon thunderstorms. The hottest weekend of summer so far arrives Saturday.
Isolated to spotty shower chances linger Monday and Tuesday
The same upper-low from late last week is generating just enough instability Monday and Tuesday for isolated and spotty afternoon showers. Temperatures will trend upward this week. 
Spotty showers and thunder chances linger to start the week
We’ll continue to have isolated to spotty, pop-up showers and thunder both Monday and Tuesday afternoons. The rest of the week is mostly dry and becoming warmer. 
Periods of showers and thunderstorms Thursday into early Friday
Showers and thunderstorms develop Thursday. A few could be strong and locally heavy rainfall is possible. Spotty storm chances persist into the weekend. 
Scattered rain and slight 4th of July severe storm risk
Scattered rain and a few strong thunderstorms favor central and southern Minnesota on Thursday.
Glorious Wednesday; severe storms possible on July Fourth
After a beautiful Wednesday, Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches look likely across much of southern Minnesota Thursday into Friday morning. There is a slight risk for severe storms across much of southern Minnesota on Thursday.
