Saturday snow northern MN; winter storm possible Tuesday
Snow lovers are waiting for more flakes. So far this snow season, we’ve tallied 26.8 inches of snow at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, which is about 8 inches behind our normal pace. According to the Minnesota State Climatology Office and the Twin Cities office of the National Weather Service, the first week of February is…
Slightly milder Friday; some Saturday flakes
Minnesota saw March-like warmth in late January, but our temps the first two days of February leave little doubt that it’s still winter. Highs in the upper teens were common across Minnesota on Thursday, and some spots in northern Minnesota never made it out of the single digits. Our Friday afternoon will be a few degrees warmer…
February has arrived with colder weather
High temperatures this afternoon will range from the single digits near Canada to the low 20s in the south. The Twin Cities likely will hover in the mid to upper teens all day. But there will be sunshine.
Cool start to February; temperature outlook

We’re overdue for some cooler weather. Cooler Wednesday…
Mild temps with a chance of rain/snow showers
Much of northern Minnesota will stay in the 20s Tuesday afternoon, but 30s will be common over the central and south. We might also see a warmer than normal Wednesday in the Twin Cities metro area, because the temp could be about 30 degrees as we start the day at midnight, but temps will fall from there.
Alberta clipper is fading but not done
Cooler air will flow into the state on Wednesday and hang around into next week. Wednesday should bring widespread highs in the teens. Some highs will moderate a bit into the 20s over the weekend.
Alberta Clipper on its way
Snow will fall ahead of that warm front today. Winter weather advisories have been issued for a few inches of snow, mostly north of the Twin Cities metro area.
