February has arrived with colder weather
High temperatures this afternoon will range from the single digits near Canada to the low 20s in the south. The Twin Cities likely will hover in the mid to upper teens all day. But there will be sunshine.
Cool start to February; temperature outlook
What is it about the number 17? Tuesday was the 17th consecutive warmer than normal day in the Twin Cities. Our average temperature for the month of January was more than 5 degrees above normal, making January our 17th consecutive warmer than normal month in the Twin Cities. We’re overdue for some cooler weather. Cooler Wednesday…
Mild temps with a chance of rain/snow showers
Much of northern Minnesota will stay in the 20s Tuesday afternoon, but 30s will be common over the central and south. We might also see a warmer than normal Wednesday in the Twin Cities metro area, because the temp could be about 30 degrees as we start the day at midnight, but temps will fall from there.
Alberta clipper is fading but not done
Cooler air will flow into the state on Wednesday and hang around into next week. Wednesday should bring widespread highs in the teens. Some highs will moderate a bit into the 20s over the weekend.
Alberta Clipper on its way
Snow will fall ahead of that warm front today. Winter weather advisories have been issued for a few inches of snow, mostly north of the Twin Cities metro area.
Monday snow
An Alberta clipper is expected to bring snow to about the northeastern half of Minnesota and northern Wisconsin Monday and Monday night. The Twin Cities will be on the southern edge.
Breezy; Monday flakes
There isn’t any arctic chill in our Sunday forecast. That’s good for our heating bills, and it’s also good for outdoor activities. Our average high temp is 25 degrees this time of year in the Twin Cities, but we’ll be a few degrees warmer than that this afternoon. Some spots in southern Minnesota could touch 30 degrees this…
Plenty of clouds, but mild
Our weekend weather will be good for outdoor activities. We won’t have to deal with any bone-chilling cold or dense fog today or Sunday. The weather will be fine at the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships at Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis this weekend, but it won’t be as sunny as it was on Friday: "Hockey the way nature intended" @USPondHockey #SundownShowdown #Beauty…
Rare sun sighting, models backing off subzero February cold?
First sunny day in over a week. This weekend features some nice winter weather for January. Temperatures stay mostly below freezing, good for winter outdoor activities.
Mild temps and peeks of sun
It'll be a great weekend to play outdoors. Temperatures will be closer to normal, and there won't be any major storms to snarl up traffic. There's enough snow for good sledding and cross-country skiing in much of Minnesota.
