Hennepin County prosecutors charged Charles Foss with murder Thursday in the 2024 death of Allison Lussier, a Minneapolis woman. Lussier’s family has pushed for answers for more than two and a half years.

People who actively opposed the surge of federal immigration agents into Minnesota over the winter are working now to prepare voters to respond if federal officials interfere with their ability to cast ballots on Nov. 3.

The resolution passed on Wednesday calls for 60 days of heightened outreach with a housing navigation tent, ahead of any future clearing, as well as the creation of both temporary and permanent shelters that drop several barriers that can prevent people from opting into traditional emergency shelters.
