Stampede at Hajj pilgrimage near Mecca kills hundreds
The stampede occurred on a street in Mina, a large valley where thousands of pilgrims camp overnight on their way to Mecca. It's the deadliest incident at the hajj since at least 2006.
Authorities say the incident happened early Monday morning on the Highway 2 bridge, which is in the second year of a major reconstruction.
