Third person dies in SXSW hit-and-run
Authorities charged 21-year-old Rashad Charjuan Owens with one count of capital murder last week for allegedly ramming his car through a crowded street in an effort to avoid a drunk driving stop.
One person died and another escaped from an early Monday morning fire at Brookside Motel in Chanhassen, according to Chanhassen Fire Chief John Wolff.
It's the third crash with multiple deaths in three weeks. Four young men were killed in a crash near Sleepy Eye on March 7, and three Carleton College students were killed in a crash near Northfield on Feb. 28.
