MnDOT pays $30,000 penalty in worker's death
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has paid a $30,000 penalty for serious safety violations in the death of a worker clearing floodwaters last spring.
The government told passenger airlines Wednesday they'll have to do more to ensure pilots aren't too tired to fly, nearly three years after the deadly western New York crash of a regional airliner flown by two exhausted pilots.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a semi-trailer has collided with a school bus in northwestern Minnesota, causing the bus to overturn. The eight children on the bus were taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
