North Minneapolis leaders respond to the COVID-19 pandemic

In some cities, like Detroit, African Americans are overwhelmingly represented in COVID-19 statistics. Black leaders in north Minneapolis have come together to form the Northside Community Response Team and strategize on how to keep their community safe during the current health crisis.

Louis King, president and CEO of Summit Academy OIC vocational school and one of the leaders of the response team, joined Angela to talk about the community’s challenges in tackling the pandemic.
