Minnesota’s loon population could be declining

There’s a familiar sound to anyone who's spent time on Minnesota lakes. It’s the common loon, the beloved state bird. A Wisconsin study found the loon population there is declining, and research in Crow Wing County could find out whether Minnesota's loon population is facing similar trouble.
