The U.S. economy continues to chug along

Economists remain optimistic about the national economy and do not think the U.S. will sink into a recession in the next year, but there’s still uncertainty on the horizon. 

The business community has an eye on the deteriorating relationship between U.S. and China and what might come out of a meeting between the Chinese leader Xi Jinping and President Joe Biden in San Francisco on Wednesday.  

And, there’s still the risk of a government shutdown later this week.
