More federal funding for public health is on the chopping block. MPR News host Angela Davis talks about what the cuts could mean for Minnesota and why a federal judge stepped in to temporarily block them.

Dr. Brooke Cunningham is the commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Health. Prior to being appointed commissioner, she was the assistant commissioner overseeing the department’s Health Equity Bureau. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota.
Chera Sevcik is the executive director of Health and Human Services for Faribault and Martin counties in southern Minnesota.
