Freezing rain creates havoc for some, icy wonderland for others in Minnesota

Freezing rain turned freeways and sidewalks into skating rinks across the Twin Cities and much of southern Minnesota early Saturday, leading to hundreds of crashes. The coating of ice also created a slippery wonderland for some Twin Cities residents who skated down city streets and sidewalks.

A Twin Cities native hopes to climb her way to top of Olympic podium in 2020

Kyra Condie will be one of two women to represent the United States in the first-ever sport climbing competition as part of the Summer Games next year. Almost a decade after being told she may never climb again due to a health condition, Condie qualified for the Olympics earlier this month.

Baby Jesus figure returned to St. Cloud Nativity scene

The executive director of the Stearns History Museum says a staffer at U.S. Bank noticed someone out by the manager around noon Thursday. When the staffer got to the Nativity scene, that person was gone, and the baby Jesus figure was put back where he belongs.

Redwood tree falls, kills Minnesota man in California park
