Battles of Belief in World War II
It's easy to look back on World War II and get the impression that America was united in fighting "The Good War." Battles of Belief, a new documentary from American RadioWorks, tells two little-known and remarkable stories that reveal the struggle for hearts and minds in wartime.
Battles of Belief, the latest American RadioWorks documentary, examines a starvation experiment conducted at the University of Minnesota after World War II. The participants, conscienctious objectors to the war, starved for science, so that others might live.
