Sochi, Russia AP -- Among the eight gold medalists on Day 3 were: snowboarder Jamie Anderson, the American slopestyle queen who triumphed in her sport's Olympic debut; Irene Wust, who showed why speedskating is Dutch territory; and Russia in team figure skating, likewise an Olympic newcomer, for its first gold in Sochi. Photos: Minnesota Orchestra returns to the stage

The Minnesota Orchestra received standing ovations Friday at its first concert since the end of the lockout. The concert was the orchestra's first in Orchestra Hall since its $52 million refurbishment and expansion. Although musicians, administrators and classical music fans are excited that the orchestra is playing again, the effects of the dispute are likely to be felt for a long time. Peyton Manning couldn't cap the greatest season any NFL quarterback ever had or secure his legacy as the best QB in history because his Denver Broncos came down with a case of the yips Sunday night. They lost to Seattle in the Super Bowl 43-8 by falling behind right from the start and never recovering.

Photos: Stupor Bowl race rides through Minneapolis

Stupor Bowl, a guerrilla bicycle race run on city streets, made its 17th run through Minneapolis on Saturday. 366 racers met at a bicycle shop shortly before the race began to find out the starting point and race route. Racers could visit the 18 checkpoints -- including bike shops, bars and parks -- in any order they chose. The race is fueled by camaraderie -- and beer.
