Cave's homer, 4 RBIs help Twins complete sweep of Giants
Jake Cave homered, doubled and drove in four runs as the Minnesota Twins beat the San Francisco Giants 8-3 to finish a three-game sweep. Cave gave the Twins a 3-2 lead with his second homer of the season in the fourth inning. He added a two-run double in the fifth to cap a five-run rally that put Minnesota on top for good.
Twins rally past Giants 3-2 on Celestino walk in 10th
Gilberto Celestino walked with the bases loaded in the 10th inning and the Minnesota Twins rallied to beat San Francisco 3-2. It was the second straight win for Minnesota which had previously lost six in a row.
Thunder No. 2 pick Holmgren to miss season with foot injury
Oklahoma City forward Chet Holmgren, the No. 2 pick in the NBA draft, will miss the 2022-23 season because of a right foot injury. Holmgren was hurt while playing in a pro-am game last weekend in Seattle, near where he played last season for Gonzaga.
