Timberwolves ease Towns back in after illness, hospitalization
All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns has returned to the court for practice with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He had a delayed start to training camp due to an unspecified illness that was serious enough to warrant hospitalization. 
Tigers beat young Woods Richardson, sloppy Twins 5-2
Woods Richardson made his big league debut five days after turning 22 years old, making him the youngest pitcher in the majors this season. The Twins’ defense did him no favors at the start, committing three errors in the first inning.
Despite the loss, the Loons can still make the playoffs with a win against the Vancouver Whitecaps next Sunday at Allianz Field.
