The expectation is becoming more certain that the Minneapolis City Council will approve the Vikings stadium plan put forth by lawmakers and Gov. Mark Dayton earlier this month.
Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber visited the Houston Dynamo's new stadium on the eve of its opening, and talked about the expansion of the league. Garber is aware of a clause in Minnesota recently-approved stadium financing plan that gives the team sole discretion to host any major league soccer team in that stadium. and said the league is interested in expanding, but notes that such moves would not come soon.

The Metrodome always felt like a rental property for Zygi and Mark Wilf, two New Jersey real estate developers who purchased the Minnesota Vikings in 2005. Now the Wilf brothers will have a home of their own, hopefully by the 2016 season.
