Jimmy Williams, who coached at the U of M in the 1970s and '80s, said he left his assistant coaching job at Oklahoma State, moved to the Twin Cities and bought a home after Gopher basketball coach Tubby Smith offered him a job. He claimed the U then reneged on the deal.
