A pastor who secretly recorded State Senate Majority Leader Dean Johnson's recent comments about gay marriage and the State Supreme Court, says he has no regrets he did so.
Rev. Brent Waldemarsen is the senior pastor of the Harvest Community Church in Willmar, Johnson's hometown. He attended a meeting of the New London/Spicer Ministerial Association earlier this year, at which Johnson said members of the Supreme Court had told him they "would not touch" the state law forbidding same-sex marriage.
Sen. Johnson now admits he embelllished conversations he had with Supreme Court justices on the gay marriage issue. Waldemarsen spoke with MPR's Cathy Wurzer.
