Arctic Cat has voluntarily recalled about 1,300 snowmobiles due to a potential fire hazard.
The recall involves all 2010 Arctic Cat 500 Sno Pro models. The machines have been sold nationwide since October of last year.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, fuel can leak from the fuel pump on the snowmobiles. The agency says consumers should stop driving the machines and contact their local Arctic Cat snowmobile dealer to schedule a free repair. Registered owners should have received a letter about the recall.
Arctic Cat reports on its Web site that the company has received two reports of fuel leakage on the snowmobiles. No injuries have been reported. The recalled machines were produced at the company's plant in its headquarters town of Thief River Falls.
