Minn. panel to view river pollution film

A documentary on Mississippi River agricultural pollution that recently stirred up controversy at the University of Minnesota will be screened Wednesday for an environmental panel.

The Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources is set to view "Troubled Waters: A Mississippi River Story" during its meeting in St. Paul.

Filmmaker Larkin McPhee will introduce her documentary to the panel, which makes funding recommendations to the Legislature for environmental projects.

Earlier this month, the university postponed the film's premiere, saying the film needed to be reviewed for balance and objectivity. But the university later said there was no need for additional review, and the film will be screened as scheduled Sunday at the Bell Museum auditorium.
