Downtown Saint Paul may not do retail well (see previous post), but if there's one thing the city has over its big-city neighbor -- and most other cities in the U.S. -- it's this. The downtown ice rink near Landmark Center has opened for the season. On weekdays, it's open until around 5 p.m.
It will remain in place -- on what is otherwise a street -- until the end of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival.
And, yes, we'll be continuing the practice of Friday lunch-hour skates if you'd like to join us sometime.
