Another charge for Amy Senser

The Hennepin County Attorney's office has added a third charge of felony vehicular homicide against Amy Senser.

The newly amended complaint alleges that Senser was on her cell phone at the time she struck and killed a Roseville man last fall. That's the basis of the third charge that alleges Senser was operating a vehicle in a grossly negligent manner and caused the death of the victim.

Senser has pleaded not guilty to charges that she left the scene of the accident and that she failed to call authorities to report the accident in a timely manner.

Her Attorney Eric Nelson has said she is not guilty because she was unaware that she hit anyone. Nelson hasn't returned a call for comment on the third charge.

Senser, the wife of former Viking Joe Senser, is scheduled to go to trial in two weeks. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Monday.
