Lutheran church faces financial challenges

Sometime later today, we'll find out who will be chosen as the interim president of the largest seminary serving the nation's largest Lutheran domination, the Evangelical Church of America or ELCA.

Luther Seminary in St. Paul is having financial problems. Luther's current president resigned after reports that the school lost nearly $4 million last year. Its endowment is down and so is enrollment.

What are the next steps moving forward? Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer discussed that with the presiding Bishop of the ELCA, Mark Hanson.
