Fifty years ago today the Ronettes's classic album "A Christmas Gift for You" was released. The album was produced by Phil Spector who brought his distinctive Wall of Sound to Christmas music.

One of the Ronettes, Ronnie Spector, was married to Phil Spector for what she describes as five harrowing years. Ronnie Spector will be singing Christmas songs and other favorites tonight at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis.
