MPR's Phil Picardi spoke with University of Minnesota Climatologist Mark Seeley about the very cold weather that's about to hit Minnesota this weekend and early next week.

He says that freezing blast comes after a cold December 2013, where Minnesota recorded the nation's coldest daily temperature an unusually high 13 times.
