And we have yet another case of the news media ignoring the law and flying drones over news stories.
This time it was the oil train derailment in Lynchburg. A drone operator flew over the scene and gave or sold the video to KSET. The minute that happened, it technically became illegal. As mentioned yesterday, the FAA is dreaming if it thinks it can keep up with the expansion of drone journalism.
