This time of the year can be difficult for those of us with parental self-esteem problems.
If you felt like you barely got your kid through high school without a prison sentence, you probably experience the feeling when you read about kids getting accepted to every Ivy League school, getting a perfect score on the ACT/SAT test, or, as in today's story, graduating from college the same week as high school.
It's great for them and good going, kids. But, in my dark corner of the educational universe, I weep while wondering, "where did I go wrong" what with my typical kids and all?
Meet Grace Bush of Miami, who received her her bachelor's degree in criminal justice last Friday morning from Florida Atlantic University. She has a 3.8 grade point average. She got the four-year degree in three years.
