What would it take for the overconnected generation to give up their cellphones?
In Kimball, Minnesota, a teacher is finding out by keeping their cellphones 24/7 in exchange for allowing the students to skip the finals in her class.
Far from the stupidity of the "no finals in exchange for retweets," this one actually has a lesson for kids, WCCO's Mike Binkley reports.
“I’m hoping that by doing this they can learn that, hey, there’s a life out there that’s worth living and it’s not on my phone,” Katie Pettit said.
It was optional, she says, but almost every kid took her up on the offer.
