These smartphone things are amazing. If you're a reporter, you can use them to record people like Derek Jeter, who was having a news conference after Derek Jeter Day at Yankee Stadium.
The problem is the darned things are also phones.
The husband of Bergen Record reporter Tara Sullivan was calling. For some reason, Jeter didn't take a message.
"Sometimes for any of us, it’s the captain’s world, and we’re just living in it," she wrote in her column today.
