I'm late getting to this story this week, but I didn't want to let it pass because it's such a great tale.
You might not recognize the names, but if you're a NewsCut regular, you've seen Melanie Bailey and Danielle Lenoue in action.

Bailey is the senior at Devils Lake High School in North Dakota who picked up Lenoue, a senior at Fargo South, during a cross-country meet in Glyndon, Minn., earlier this month.
They both got some well-deserved national attention this week when they appeared on the Ellen show this week.
Was it a big deal? You decide. But 50 other kids ran past Lenoue before one gave up the race to help someone.
