If Paige Lazorenko, 17, of West Fargo, can't go to her prom, the prom will come to her.
Lazorenko has cancer and is undergoing "aggressive treatment" at St. Jude's Medical Center in Memphis.
Her prom date, Riley Vareberg, had asked her to the prom by way of a proposal on the Minnesota Wild scoreboard.
But now she can't make it, the Fargo Forum reports.
So Vareberg is flying to Memphis, where the hospital is holding a prom for Lazorenko, and the other teenagers there who are also missing their proms.
Kids today, eh?
