All Things Considered host Tom Crann's touching tribute to a former colleague deserves a little more attention, especially considering the fact that Kathleen Hallinan, who died two weeks ago, was a force of nature in the Minnesota Public Radio newsroom for about a decade in the 1990s.
Hallinan was the afternoon newscaster during that time and at the conclusion of Friday's All Things Considered, Crann provided the appropriate goodbye.
