I can assure you that I've spent much of the day today looking for some uplifting news story, as is the wont of NewsCut.
Unfortunately, there isn't any. Quite the opposite in fact.
Someone has killed Pinky the Dancing Flamingo.
Pinky was the most famous animal at Tampa's Busch Gardens up until last evening when Joseph Anthony Corrao, 45, stopped by the Jambo Junction Animal Viewing area, allegedly grabbed Pinky and threw her to the ground, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Had she survived her encounter with humanity, Pinky would've been 20 next month.
Prior to his trip to Tampa, Corrao, an ex-con, posted on his Facebook page that he was looking forward to going, the Tampa Bay Times said.
“I’ve never been to jail in Tampa,” he wrote.
