You've probably seen the technique used by drivers entering divided highways. Maybe you've even used it yourself. Get halfway across the highway to the median, then wait for traffic to give you a break to enter.
That technique doesn't work well if you're driving a school bus, because your bus -- and all the kids on it -- are in the line of fire, as this video posted on Facebook by a parent in the Isanti/Cambridge district shows. (Warning: Obscenities abound)

It's worth noting that the cars weren't giving the driver much of a break here.
The school district's transportation director says he's investigating the situation.
