Until the Internet found out.
It loved it like a rock.
"It's been fun to watch as the community comes together in support of this rock, and against the rock," Brangwyn Jones, whose Facebook group called attention to the rock's plight, tells Toronto Metro.
The CBC reported on Friday that fans of the rock convinced the shopping center to let them take the rock to a place where it can live it out its days.
It now rests next to a Little Free Library in the neighborhood, where SUVs can no longer abuse it.
