One of the worst things about Instagram is it's impossible not to see the attached comments.
Everson Griffen, the Minnesota Vikings player who is currently undergoing treatment for apparent mental health issues, made his first public statement since a series of weekend incidents that led him to seek help.
The post didn't say a lot, with Everson apologizing for whatever it is he's supposed to apologize for in some people's eyes.
"Will you shut the *#*&( up?" a commenter replied.
Again, though, there is some reason for optimism that the neanderthals are slipping into the minority, with most of the comments offering Griffen support.
