President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold a campaign rally at Target Center in Minneapolis on Thursday night. The president's supporters will fill the inside of the arena and many protesters are expected outside.
This week, President Trump and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey sparred on Twitter over Frey's demand that the President's campaign pay more than $500,000 in advance for security around the rally. The campaign did not end up fronting that money. MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with Mayor Frey about that figure, and preparations for the president’s visit.
