Labor commissioner on workplace safety as more Minn. businesses reopen

More Minnesota businesses are reopening this week under Gov. Walz’s new “Stay Safe” order.

Before those employers can call workers back, they are required to have what the state is calling a “COVID-19 preparedness plan,” documenting their policies for preventing the spread of the virus. Despite the precautions, some employees still worry about their safety on the job.

MPR News host Cathy Wurzer talked with Minnesota Dept. of Labor and Industry Commissioner Nancy Leppink for more on workplace protections in the pandemic.
