Workers at 3 Twin Cities establishments push to unionize

Workers at Surly Brewing Co.’s Minneapolis beer hall and restaurant announced Monday they’re moving to form a union, citing concerns about pay and benefits as well as pandemic safety precautions.

This follows recent unionization moves by employees at five Spyhouse Coffee shops and at Tattersall Distilling in Minneapolis.

MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with Dylan Thomas, a reporter at Minneapolis – St. Paul Business Journal who has been following the issue.
