Seeking protection and normalcy, parents eagerly await COVID vaccine for kids

Patricia Procel helps her son Nico, 11, in their Edina, Minn., home Thursday. Nico was born with a rare genetic disorder. It doesn't put Nico at higher risk of getting a severe case of COVID-19, but his parents say he might be more likely to get it and transmit it to his paraprofessional. His parents say that getting him a shot will put them at ease about his own health and also help protect other kids in his class.
