New Ulm students, community call for change in addressing LGBTQ+ harassment in school

Jerin Ostermann, 37, lived in New Ulm for 13 years. She has several children who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and wanted to show her support for the students at New Ulm High School and for fellow residents in town during the One New Ulm rally held on Saturday. Ostermann said that the reason she homeschools all her children is because she's afraid of harassment and bullying they might face for their sexual orientation.
