Enjoy the cooler and less humid conditions Monday, heat and humidity return Tuesday into Wednesday. A heat advisory goes into effect for Tuesday afternoon and evening for much of central and southern Minnesota.

One day break from heat and humidity Monday

Monday will be pretty nice with partly cloudy skies and more comfortable conditions after Sunday’s muggy air has temporarily departed. Highs will range from the mid 80s south to mid 70s north.

Dew points will be in the 50s mostly Monday but that muggy air returns quickly for Tuesday setting the stage for a steamy couple of days.

Heat advisory Tuesday

Tuesday will be hot and humid, but luckily won’t be part of a string of hot days. A heat advisory goes into effect from 1 p.m. through 8 p.m. Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s across southern Minnesota with heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees.

Storms possible Tuesday night

Scattered storms are possible Tuesday evening into the overnight and early Wednesday. The storms will develop ahead of a cool front that will bring some relief in heat.

A short break from the heat again

Late Wednesday into early Friday will bring another temporary break from heat and humidity but things will be heating back up for the weekend.
