The weekend is looking decent overall. Some spots will see occasional showers and possibly a thunderstorm on Saturday.
A low-pressure system will pass to our south on Saturday, spinning moisture up over much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Forecast models show some areas of showers on Saturday, along with the potential for a few thunderstorms. You can expect more dry minutes than wet minutes during the daylight hours of Saturday.
Severe weather isn’t expected in Minnesota or western Wisconsin on Saturday. The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service shows general (non-severe) thunderstorms Saturday and Saturday night in Minnesota and western Wisconsin:

Weekend temps and dew points
Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 80 degrees on Aug. 20. We're looking at metro area highs in the mid 70s this Saturday. We’ll share 70s with most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin:
There’ll probably be some 60s near Lake Superior and parts of far southern Minnesota.
Saturday afternoon dew points will be in the sticky 60s in many areas:
