Some of us saw scattered showers and thunderstorms early Saturday morning, and a few scattered showers and thunderstorms are still possible this morning and afternoon.
Forecast models show a more organized area of showers and thunderstorms developing in southern Minnesota late Saturday afternoon, then expanding northeastward Saturday evening. Roughly the southeastern half of Minnesota plus much of western Wisconsin will probably see periods of showers and t-storms Saturday evening and overnight Saturday night. There could be a few isolated thunderstorms elsewhere in Minnesota during that same time period.
You can track weekend showers and thunderstorms on the new interactive radar on the MPR weather page. You can pan and zoom the radar display on our site to see precipitation at your location, across all of Minnesota and western Wisconsin and beyond.
You can hear updated weather information for Minnesota and western Wisconsin on the Minnesota Public Radio News network, and you can see updated weather info on the MPR News live weather blog.

An isolated severe thunderstorm is possible in the dark-green shaded areas on the map.
